According to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) between 1992 and 2002 a total of 31 occupational injury deaths were attributable to mobile brush chippers. Twenty one (68%) fatalities were the result of being caught or compressed by the chipper, and nine (29%) deaths were the result of being struck by the machine or a machine part. This one day program will help your employees understand how to work safely.
The training will cover:
· Safety Regulations and PPE
· Identifying existing and potential hazards
· Routine checks and maintenance
· Recognizing and avoiding risks
· Safe operating techniques
· Pre-start inspections
· Shutdown procedures
