We want you to join us as member of our dynamic and collaborative Operations team! Working in a cross functional and growing municipal environment, you will be responsible for supporting summer operations with a focus on Innisfil Beach Park, Innisfil Recreation Centre and town wide sports fields. You will be liaising with user groups and the public, coordinating staff duties, providing supervision for the day to day activities, performing maintenance and/or repair work related to parks / facilities. You will also proficiently operate various types of equipment such as grass mowing equipment, tractors, chainsaws, ¼ to 2 ton trucks; weed trimmers, ball diamond groomers, atv’s etc.
We are seeking a driven self-starter who thrives in an environment of innovation and someone who wants to make a meaningful contribution to our corporation and community. Your secondary school diploma or recognized equivalent, is complemented by knowledge of and the ability to operate various hand and power equipment/tools and have excellent customer service, interpersonal, project/time management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Consideration will be given to those with three (3) years or greater experience in parks and facilities operation.
Working conditions include shift work Thursday through Monday, 40 hours per week. (Thursday/Friday 1pm-9:30pm, Saturday/Sunday 8:30am – 5pm, Monday (Stat holiday) 8:30am-5pm, Monday (non-statutory holiday) 1pm-9:30pm. These shift times may vary due to operational needs.
