CASUAL - PARKS & FACILITIES (6 month contract)

Operations

As part of the Operations Team, you will perform all assigned parks and facilities maintenance operational duties including but not limited to: facility operations, turf maintenance, horticulture/gardening, pruning, park maintenance and garbage removal, general facility maintenance and cleaning, special event setup and take down. You should be self-motivated, willing to work in a team environment, provide leadership and show excellence in customer service throughout the Town of Innisfil. This is a contract position.

You have operational experience associated with turf maintenance equipment and parks related equipment, mechanical ability and/or training, and excellent customer service and communication skills. A minimum Class G driver’s licence, the willingness to work varied shifts, this work involves evenings and weekends, and the ability to meet the physical demands of the role are required. Standard First Aid/CPR certification, DZ license, experience in Sports Fields, Horticulture, or Landscaping (Diplomas or certifications) or Arborist. Certified Ice Technician (C.I.T.) or Basic Refrigeration course are all considered assets. This is a 40 hour per week contract position and includes shifts on days, evenings and weekends and statutory holidays.
