Under the direction of the Director of Community Services, the Supervisor of Parks and Recreational Facilities will be responsible for ensuring that activities and operations comply with all related legislative policies, regulations including corporate policy and direction. This position will also be involved with park development and landscape design activities involving municipal parks. The Supervisor of Parks and Recreational Facilities position will directly supervise direct and monitor the daily activities of all staff associated with the operation of parks and recreational facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary diploma or degree from a recognized Horticultural College, which includes training in horticulture, arboricultural functions as well as technical skills in design software such as Sketchup, Photoshop and Autocad. Along with supervisory experience in a municipal environment involving parks and facility operations.
