Lead Hand, Community Services

The Municipality of Middlesex Centre is a growing municipality of approximately 18,000 people in the County of Middlesex and located to the north and west of the City of London.  The Municipality is seeking a qualified individual to join our Community Services Department for the position of Lead Hand, Community Services.

Position Summary

The Lead Hand is a working team lead and assists the Facility Services and Parks & Open Space Supervisors in the Community Services Department.  Responsible for the planning and scheduling of all resources to carry out and maintain Facility & Park Operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Education
  • Unrestricted Class G Driver’s Licence
  • Successful completion of the Basic Refrigeration Certification through the Ontario Recreational Facilities Association
  • Certified Ice technician
  • Playground Inspectors Certification

Salary range for 2017 is $27.16 to $31.77 per hour.  Normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday but may be scheduled for alternating evening and/or weekend work may as required.  This position requires the individual to be on call 24/7.
