Playground Practitioner Update Course

In keeping with best practices, all Playground Practitioners registered with Ontario Parks Association are required to attend an update course every 5 years (date dependent upon the actual release date of the revised CSA Z614 Standard). If you wish to remain a Playground Practitioner registered with the OPA you will be required to take part in this half day update and pass the course examination with a grade of at least 70%.

All RPP's must attend this course before September 23, 2015. After September 23, 2015, if you have not attended this update course successfully, you may lose your standing as a Registered Playground Practitioner with OPA.

This course will review the recent changes to the CSA Z614 Standard. Attendees will receive a wallet size card stating that they have attended the update and are still a current RPP with OPA.

Attendees are required to purchase a copy of the new CSA Z614-14 Standard. The test at the end of the course is open book so attendees will need their own copy (sharing books is not permitted). Attendees can choose to either use the PDF version and bring it on their tablet or other electronic device (so long as they can turn off the use of internet / text messaging for the test as any use of outside sources is considered cheating and will not receive a passing grade) or the hard copy of the book. Books can be purchased at the CSA Online Shophttp://shop.csa.ca/en/canada/injury-prevention/z614-14/invt/27019532014 )

Please note that lunch will not be provided.

Only current Playground Practitioners may attend this course. This course does not count towards the Parks Practitioner Certification

Lunch will not be provided for this session. Please bring a lunch or be prepared to go off site.
