Playground Introductory Compliance and Hazard Analysis

This one day session will appeal to Municipal parks front line staff, landscape contractors, private and public campground operators, private property management staff, child care operators and school board staff. This introductory course for Playground Practitioners is a must attend training opportunity for anyone who needs to know what is involved in maintaining safe, compliant playgrounds and equipment.

This course will cover: 

  • Strategies to strike reasonable balance between injury reduction and playvalue
  • What liability exposures exist and how to reduce them?
  • Regulations that apply to playgrounds in Ontario
  • How does CAN/CSA-Z614 help and what does it take for compliance?
  • Practical strategies that can be adopted to reduce injuries and liability exposure yet maintain playvalue and accessibility

For this session we require a classroom that can accommodate at least 30 people and has a projector and screen available.
